Coco Nets Game-Winner as Bentley Wins in OT, 2-1

SEAFORD, N.Y. – Sophomore Lida Coco (Litchfield, Conn./Canterbury School) netted the game-winner 78 seconds into overtime to give Bentley University a come-from-behind win over Molloy College, 2-1, in Northeast-10 Conference field hockey Friday afternoon at Cedar Creek Park.

Coco dribbled the ball right and fired it back towards the cage, from just inside the circle, for her second game-winner of the season. It was her fourth of the year, putting her in a tie for the conference lead.

After three scoreless quarters, both teams picked up a goal in the fourth. Molloy (1-5, 0-2 NE10) struck first with freshman Gianna Mastrocco (West Islip, N.Y.) scoring off a corner with 11:34 left in regulation.

Five minutes later, Bentley drew even on the first career goal by sophomore Hannah Blomquist (Westwood, Mass./Westwood HS).

Bentley (4-4, 2-1 NE10) controlled play throughout, finishing with three times as many shots, 24-8, and four times as many penalty corners (16-4).

Junior Mia Trottie (Cinnaminson, N.J./ Bishop Eustace HS) made four saves for Bentley and sophomore Kelsey Price (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) turned away 11 shots for the home team.

Bentley's next game is Wednesday night at home against nationally-ranked Assumption.
