Anderson, Crowley Selected as 2nd-Team Longstreth/NFHCA All-Americas

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior forwards Tess Anderson (Stow/Nashoba Reg. HS) and Rachel Crowley (Leicester/Notre Dame Academy) have been voted to the Longstreth/NFCHA Division II All-America second team by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Anderson and Crowley were two of the five Northeast-10 Conference players to accumulate at least 30 points during the 2019 season. They tied for 15th in Division II in points per game (1.58) and each was previously voted to the All-NE10 first team. They also participated in the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division II Senior All-Star Game last month in Millersville, Pa.

Crowley, a team captain for the second straight season, led the Falcons with 14 goals and also had two assists during her final season. Three of her goals were game-winners. She was tenth nationally in goals per game at 0.74.

Crowley appeared in 73 games during her career, 58 as a starter, and finished with 25 goals, 12 assists, 62 points and four game-winners.

Anderson's final season included 11 goals, eight assists and two game-winners. She had two goals in the opener against Franklin Pierce, including the game-winner, and scored in five of the team's final seven games. She finished 11th in Division II in assists at 0.42 per game.

During her career, Anderson had 33 goals, 14 assists, 80 points and six game-winners in 69 games.

The duo are Bentley's first NFHCA All-Americas since 2014.

                Bentley finished the season with a 9-10 record after falling in OT to Southern New Hampshire in the first round of the Northeast-10 Championships.
