Howard & Ellis Earn 2nd-Team All-Northeast-10 Honors
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior midfielder Kelsey Howard (Scarborough, Maine/ Scarborough HS) and junior defender Tori Ellis (Madison, N.J./Madison HS) have been named to the 2015 Northeast-10 Field Hockey All-Conference second team, which was announced on Wednesday.
Ellis received the honor for the second straight year while Howard, a second-year captain, received her first All-Conference nod.
Howard was also named to participate in the Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Senior Game, which will be held Nov. 21 at Bloomsburg University.
Howard, who never missed a game during her four years, shared the team lead in goals (4) and also had an assist for a total of nine points during her final collegiate season. Included was the game-winner in a 2-1 season-opening win over Assumption College.
Ellis' season included two goals, two assists and six defensive saves, a total that was tied for second most in the NE-10. She was the conference's Rookie of the Year in 2013 and the team MVP last season.
Bentley finished the 2015 campaign with a 9-9 overall record.
