MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Senior Beth Maguire (Medfield, Mass./Medfield HS) scored the game's only goal and classmate Julia Powell (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug HS) registered the shutout as Bentley University blanked Limestone College, 1-0, in non-conference field hockey at Millersville University's Biemesderfer Stadium Saturday.

Bentley, ranked 10th in Division II preseason and in the midst of five games in nine days to open the season, evened its record at 1-1. Limestone was shut out for the second time in as many games, falling to 0-2.

Following a shot and save, Maguire knocked in the rebound 5:27 into the second half for her 18th career goal. It was her fourth career game-winner, her first since the 2010 season.

Powell made two saves en route to her seventh career shutout. Her counterpart for the Saints, Rachael Sanders (Fayetteville, Pa.), also recorded one save in the contest.

Limestone had a slight edge in shots, 11-10, and both teams attempted nine penalty corners.

Bentley will be back in action Tuesday for a 4 pm non-conference game at Saint Anselm College.
