Garrett Gillick, a 2000 graduate of the University of Maine and former Defensive Coordinator at Lowell High School, is in his third season on the Bentley coaching staff. He'll work with the defensive secondary this season after coaching the defensive line during his first two years.

Gillick came to Bentley with seven years of coaching experience under this belt, most recently at Lowell High during the 2010 season. In addition to serving as defensive coordinator, his duties included monitoring the team’s academic performance and furthering the success of the team in meeting academic eligibility criteria set forth by the administration.

Gillick spent four seasons (2007-10) as an assistant football coach at Methuen High, where he is also an assistant baseball coach. He was an assistant at UMass-Lowell in 2001 and a graduate assistant at his alma mater in 2000.

A 2008 inductee into the Lowell High Athletic Hall of Fame, Gillick won the esteemed Woody Carville Senior Leadership Award for showing excellent leadership abilities and skills during his four-year career at Maine.

Gillick resides in his hometown of Lowell with his wife Jaime. He serves as a special education teacher for the Lowell Public Schools.
