Bio

Taariq Allen, a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree while at the University of Nebraska, is in his second year on the Bentley football coaching staff. He works with the wide receivers.

Allen joined Coach Kavanaugh’s staff after spending the 2018 and 2019 seasons as the wide receiver and defensive back coach at Thayer Academy.  During that same time frame, he was a program service clinical coordinator for The Mentor Network, working with the in-home foster care program.

Allen began his coaching career at The Rivers School in Weston, serving as the wide receivers coach for the varsity team and the middle school’s head football coach. In addition, he’s been a personal trainer for Functional Accurate Strength Training in Stoughton since November 2016.

Allen, who closed out his four-year Nebraska career in 2015, played in 44 games for the Cornhuskers and was the 2013 recipient of the Nebraska’s Pat Clare Award. It’s given to the player committed to returning from injury.

Allen, who is from Roxbury, received his Bachelor of Science in education and human sciences in May 2015.
