Three Bentley Student-Athletes Earn CoSIDA Academic All-Super Region Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Three Bentley football players, including 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-America Andrew Brazicki (Franklin Park, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas HS), have been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-Super Region 1 Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The others were graduate linebacker Cole McCubrey (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) and senior defensive back Aaron Racki (Tampa, Fla./Cambridge Christian HS).
All three will advance to the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America consideration.

Super Region 1 includes student-athletes from the Northeast-10, the Pennsylvania State Athletic, the Mountain East and the Great Midwest Athletic conferences.

Brazicki, a running back who was recently selected as a second-team All-Northeast-10 honoree, finished his career as Bentley's number three all-time rusher with 2,276 yards. He led the Falcons in rushing for the fourth time, with his 724 yards this season fifth most in the conference, and scored 25 touchdowns during his career.

Brazicki graduated Magna Cum Laude last May with a 3.68 grade point average as a corporate finance and accounting major. He's now pursuing his MBA with a concentration in finance.

McCubrey had a standout year in his first Bentley season, earning Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as first-team All-Conference accolades. He had a career-best 17 tackles in the Falcons' loss at New Haven in the NCAA playoffs and finished the year with 114 tackles.

A transfer from UMass where he was the team's leading tackler the last two seasons, McCubrey is pursuing his Master of Science degree in finance. He graduated Cum Laude from UMass with a 3.87 GPA.

Racki, a safety for the Falcons, was fourth on the team in tackles during his first year as a starter, finishing with 54. Against Assumption, he returned a fumble for a touchdown.

A computer information systems major, Racki has achieved a 3.5 GPA.

Bentley, ranked 20th in the most recent AFCA Division II coaches poll, finished the season at 9-2 and made its first NCAA playoff appearance since 2004.
