On This Day, 2004: Yetten Wins 200th as Bentley Blanks Bryant, 42-0

On October 29, 2004, Peter Yetten earned his 200th victory as Bentley's head football coach as his team completed an 8-1 regular season with a 42-0 shellacking of visiting Bryant.

Yetten, Bentley's head coach for 30 years from 1979-2008, finished his career with a sparkling 225-81-2 record. Under his direction, the Falcons were 71-21-1 in nine seasons at the club level and 154-60 in 21 varsity campaigns.

It wasn't the only milestone achieved by Bentley in the shutout victory. Senior QB Dallas Mall, in his final regular season game, broke the NCAA Division II record for career TD passes as he threw his 116th, 117th and 118th as a Falcon. He also became only the second player in New England history with 10,000 yards in career total offense.

Two of his three TDs against the Bulldogs were pulled in by classmate Dallas Mall, the NCAA's all-time leader in career TD receptions. He opened the scoring with a 15-yarder during a 21-point first quarter and added a 19-yarder in the second quarter.

Running back J.J. Sullivan also had a solid afternoon, rushing for two TDs.

Bentley, which set a school record with 33 first downs, outgained Bryant 578-248. Eddy completed 29 of 46 for 384 yards and Mall caught 11 for 157.
