WALTHAM, Mass. – Two key defensive performers on the Northeast-10 Conference champion Bentley University Falcons, senior Pete Thorbahn (Norwell/Xaverian Bros. HS) and sophomore Cedric Dashiell II (Buena Park, Calif./Buena Park HS), have been selected for the 2019 Division II-III All-New England team by the New England Football Writers.

Both players will be honored on Thursday, Dec. 12 when the New England Football Writers holds its annual Awards and Captains Banquet at the Rosaria Restaurant and Function Facility in Saugus. Thorbahn, Bentley's captain this past season and a starter in the defensive backfield in every game during his four-year career, was a four-time All-Northeast-10 honoree, including first team both this season and last. In 41 career games, he amassed 246 tackles, 15 interceptions, 32 pass break-ups and three interception returns for touchdowns.

During his final season, Thorbahn was second on the team in tackles with 58, and also had two interceptions and 2.5 tackles for losses.

Dashiell II, a second-year starter, led Bentley's defensive linemen in tackles with 36, including 13 for losses totaling 60 yards and 9.5 sacks. He was second in the conference in sacks and third in tackles for losses, as well as tied for 13th nationally in Division II in sacks per game.

Bentley closed out the season with a five-game winning streak and Dashiell II had two TFL in four of those five games.

Bentley finished the season at 6-2 in conference play and 6-4 overall.
