WALTHAM -- Pick your poison.

Want to try to make big gains on the strong side of the field against Bentley University's defense? Go ahead and try, but know you'll have to outsmart cornerback Pete Thorbahn to do that.

Maybe the long side of the field is the better option? Good luck, but don't be surprised if Derek Perkins ends up outrunning or out-jumping the player you want to have the ball.

Thorbahn, from Norwell and Xaverian Brothers High School, and Milton High product Perkins emerged as a dynamic defensive duo on Bentley's corners last season, when Perkins returned to duty from a shoulder injury that shortened his promising sophomore year. They return this season as seniors, hoping to help the Falcons to the best of their four years at the school.
