Montalto, McDonald & Chretien Named Captains for AIC Game

WALTHAM, Mass. – Running back Matt Montalto (West Yarmouth/Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS), safety Sam McDonald (Norfolk/King Philip Reg. HS) and linebacker Aaron Chretien (Commerce Township, Mich./Walled Lake Northern HS) will serve as Bentley University's captains for Saturday's football game at American International College, head coach Bill Kavanaugh announced.

This will be the second time as game captain for both Montalto and McDonald, and the first for Chretien, who will captain the special teams.

Montalto, a senior who shifted from quarterback before this season, leads Bentley in all-purpose running yards with 94.2 a game. With a 28.0 average, he is the third leading kick returner in the Northeast-10 Conference, as well as 22nd nationally in Division II. Montalto also leads the Falcons in rushing touchdowns (3) and is second in rushing yards (140).

McDonald, whose 16 career interceptions is two shy of the school record, is a key part of a Falcon defense that leads the nation, all divisions, in interception return yards (360). The senior is second on the team in tackles (32), has picked off two passes, and is second in the NE-10 in punt returns, averaging 9.0 yards.

Chretien, a junior, is fourth on the team in tackles with 28, including 21 on rushing plays. He blocked a punt Oct. 1 against Pace, and also has been credited with a pass break-up this season.

Bentley will enter the game at AIC with records of 3-3 overall and 3-2 NE-10.
