D2CAA All-Region Honors for Bentley’s Ford
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's record-setting junior punter Tyler Ford (Amherst, N.H./ Souhegan HS) was selected for the Division 2 Conference Commissioners' Association All-Super Region 1 second team by the region's sports information directors.
Ford, who ranks fifth nationally in Division II with a 43.0 average, was previously selected first-team All-Northeast-10 and to the New England Football Writers Division II-III all-star team. He shattered his own Bentley single season record of 39.9 he set in 2014, and also broke the Northeast-10 Conference record.
Twenty-four of his 56 points were placed inside the 20 and he uncorked 15 punts of 50 yards or more, twice tying the school record of 68 yards. He bettered the Falcon single game punting record three times and finished the season with a career average of 40.3, a Bentley record and ninth amongst active Division II players.
Bentley finished the season with a 5-6 record.
