CHELMSFORD -- Jack Hansbury was everything the Bentley University football coaching staff could have wanted in a freshman recruit.

Hansbury, who played offensive tackle for Chelmsford High, was big, athletic and smart.

Still, there is a chasm of difference between high school and college football.

Hansbury found that out when he entered his first game as a backup center at Merrimack University in the fourth game of the 2015 season.

Starting center Connor Peck had been injured in the second half bringing an inexperienced Hansbury off the bench.
