Ford Named to NEFW Division II-III All-New England Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Following a record-breaking season, Bentley University junior punter Tyler Ford (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan HS) has been chosen for the 2015 Division II-III All-New England team by the New England Football Writers.

Ford, who was previously voted first-team All-Northeast-10, and the remainder of the All-New England selections will be honored on Thursday, Dec. 10 when the NEFW holds its annual Captains and Awards Banquet at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham. Tickets are available by contacting Dick Lipe at 781-891-2334.

Ford broke the Bentley record, which he set a year ago, and the Northeast-10 Conference standard by averaging 43 yards per punt. That ranks sixth nationally in Division II, as well as the second best in Super Region 1. His career average of 40.3, best in program history, ranks ninth among active Division II players.

Ford frequently flipped the field for the Falcons during the 2015 season.  He dropped 24 of his 56 punts inside the 20 and had 15 punts of at least 50 yards, including a pair of 68-yarders that tied the all-time Bentley record. Three times during the season, Ford broke the school single game punting record, including a 50.3 mark during the season-finale against LIU Post.

Bentley finished the season with a 5-6 record.
