WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Alessa Matuty (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Matuty, a senior and three-year team captain, helped the Falcons defeat Simmons 8-1 in the team's final match of the season on Friday.

She won the No. 2 singles match without dropping a game, 6-0, 6-0. She also won the No. 1 doubles match, along with partner Adriana Hiraldo, by an 8-0 score.

This is the fourth career NE10 weekly honor for Matuty. She was Player of the Week once as a sophomore during the 2019-20 season, and was Rookie of the Week twice during the 2018-19 season.
