LAST TIME OUT: Bentley battled with Holy Cross at the Hart Center in Worcester, but dropped a 4-3 decision in overtime. Junior Jakov Novak scored two goals, and team captain Charlie Marchand lit the lamp as well.

The Falcons led 1-0 after the first period, but Holy Cross started the 2nd period with three goals over the first 10:52 of the period to take a 3-1 lead. Bentley though fought back, and goals by Marchand at 12:39 and Novak at 17:50 tied the game 3-3 going into the 3rd period. Neither team scored in the final 20 minutes to send the game to OT, where Holy Cross secured the two points with a goal by Logan Ferguson 46 seconds into the extra session.

SERIES HISTORY: Friday's game will be the 70th all-time meeting between Bentley and AIC. That makes the Yellow Jackets the opponent Bentley has played the 5th most times in its history, behind Army (75 games), Sacred Heart (75), Holy Cross (73) and Canisius (71).

Bentley leads the all-time series over AIC 30-25-14. The first ever meeting between the two schools came in the 1980-81 season, a 5-4 Bentley win.

If there is one trend in this series, it's that the games are close. In 12 of the last 15 meetings, the game has either been a tie or decided by one goal.

MILESTONES AHEAD: Two members of the Bentley hockey program are approaching career milestones. Senior center Luke Santerno is 7 points away from 100 for his career, which would make him the 12th player in program's Division I history to reach that milestone.

Head coach Ryan Soderquist, also the program's all-time leader in points with 173, is two wins away from 250 for his career.

UP NEXT: Bentley's next games will be in 2021. They are scheduled to take on Long Island University on January 2-3 for the first ever meetings between the two programs.
