BOSTON, Mass. – Running in the first meet of 2023, the Bentley women's cross country team placed seventh out of 15 teams in the Suffolk Short Course Classic at Franklin Park Friday.

Results

Caitlin Burmester placed 10^th in a field of 147 runners. She crossed the 3K finish line with a time of 11:23.3 – less than 40 seconds behind the first-place runner from Northeastern (NCAA D-I). Freshman Molly Capece had a great start to her collegiate career, placing 20^th with a time of 12:00.9.

Brooke Buotte crossed the finish line in 12:58.7, which was good for 55^th overall. Anna Jones placed 59^th overall (13:19.7), and Riley Hamel was 62^nd (13:27.6).

The Falcons next compete in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, Sept. 16.
