WATERBURY, Conn. – Volleyball increased its winning streak to 11 matches with 3-0 sweeps of both Holy Family and Post on Saturday.
Bentley vs. Holy Family
The Falcons swept Holy Family for the second time this season by scores of 25-4, 25-22 and 25-18. Rachel Vitko led a balanced attack with nine kills. Ingrid Murphy had six kills and Caitlin Wunder and Elizabeth Blinn each had five.
Bentley hit .455 in a dominating first set that they won by 21 points.
Natalie Thom had 15 assists and freshman Elliet Manning notched five aces.
Elizabeth Blinn had four block assists and Bentley had 12 blocks overall.
Bentley vs. Post
Bentley then swept post 25-18, 25-16, 25-17 in its second match of the day. Vitko again led the way with eight kills and Murphy had seven.
Thom had 16 assists and Blinn again made her presence felt with five block assists. Vitko also had four block assists.
The Falcons hit .303 in the third set to close out the match.
Bentley improved to 15-3 with the wins. They will be back at home on Tuesday against Mercy.
