Bruno Earns Academic All-Northeast-10 Honors for 3rd Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University middle blocker Rachel Bruno (San Diego, Calif./Francis Parker School) was recently named to the Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball team for the third straight season.

Bruno, a second-year team captai55n who helped the Falcons reach the NCAA Division II East Regional, averaged 1.97 kills, 0.91 blocks and 2.8 points during the 2019 season while hitting a conference-best .298. It was the third straight year that she's led the NE10 in hitting and she was also fifth in blocks per set.

Bruno finished her career with 902 kills, 362 blocks and 100 services aces while playing in 418 sets and 118 matches. Her .324 career hitting percentage was the third best in program history and she ranks eighth all-time in blocks.

Bruno has also excelled in the classroom throughout her Bentley career, earning a 3.67 grade point average while majoring in data analytics and business studies.

Bentley finished the 2019 season with a 26-6 record and captured both the regular season and tournament championships in the NE10.
