Milner Named NE10 Volleyball Player of the Week; Segaline Collects Rookie Honors for 3rd Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – After leading the Falcons to a 3-0 week, Bentley University sophomore outside hitter Dani Milner (Plano, Texas/The Greenhill School) has been named the Women's Volleyball Player of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

In addition, Bentley freshman outside hitter Kirsten Segaline (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain HS) was recognized as the conference's Rookie of the Week for the third time in four weeks this season.

Milner filled the stat sheet with 3.89 kills, 2.89 digs, 1.0 blocks, 0.56 aces and 4.94 points per set while hitting .292. Milner had 18 kills and a career-high seven blocks in a five-set win over AIC, including nine kills in the final two sets. She also had 16 digs, 12 kills and three aces against Franklin Pierce.

Entering tonight's match at Saint Anselm, Milner is one of only two players in the conference who averages at least three kills and three digs. In addition to averaging 3.29 kills and 3.46 digs, she is hitting .254 and has served 15 aces this season.

In three wins against NE10 opponents, Segaline gave the Falcons 2.3 kills, 3.4 digs, 0.3 blocks and 2.55 points per set. Included was a 16-dig, 10-kill double-double as the Falcons outlasted American International in five.

Segaline, second on the team behind Milner in kills and points, is one of four conference players currently averaging at least 2.7 kills and 3.0 digs.

Bentley, riding a four-match winning streak, is 9-4 overall and 2-0 conference.
