Dominguez Selected to AVCA Division II All-East Region Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior middle blocker Savannah Dominguez (Miami, Fla./Palmer Trinity HS) has been named to the 2013 American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II All-East Region team following her outstanding season.

Dominguez, who was previously voted first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference, led the Falcons in kills (3.06), hitting percentage (.365), aces (37), blocks (0.76) and points (3.92) after having been limited to 17 matches in 2012 due to injury. She ranks 11th nationally in Division II with her .365 success rate tied for the fourth best single-season mark in program history.

In the Northeast-10 statistics, Dominguez is second in hitting, third in points, fourth in kills, fifth in aces and tenth in blocks.

Her 2013 season included at least ten kills 20 times in 27 matches and a hitting percentage of at least .500 seven times.

Bentley finished the season at 17-10 overall and tied for second in the Northeast-10.
