Tator Named Northeast-10 Setter of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior women's volleyball player Alex Tator (Los Angeles, Calif./Marlborough School) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Molten Setter of the Week following her strong performance in the Falcons' wins over Saint Anselm College and Adelphi University.

Tator amassed 86 assists during the two conference victories, averaging 12.29 per set along with 2.29 digs, 0.43 kills, 0.43 blocks and 0.29 aces. She established a new career-high with 54 assists in the 3-1 win at Saint Anselm and completed the double-double with 12 digs.

Tator also had 32 assists and four digs in Bentley's 3-0 win over Adelphi University Saturday in the regular season home finale.

Tator, who previously earned Setter of the Week honors September 20, 2011, ranks second in the NE-10 in assists, averaging 9.8, and is ninth on Bentley's all-time list with 1,843.

Junior middle hitter Samantha Dominguez (Miami, Fla./Palmer Trinity HS) was also recognized with selection to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll. She hit an impressive .565, with only one error in 46 attacks, and led the Falcons in kills (3.86), aces (5) and blocks (1.0) in the two victories. Dominguez leads the NE-10 in hitting at .367, and is 11th nationally in that category.

Bentley enters the final week of the regular season in second place in the conference with records of 9-2 NE-10 and 15-8 overall. The final three matches are on the road, including Stonehill tonight, Saint Rose Friday and Le Moyne Saturday.
