Berry Records 16 Kills, but Bentley Falls in Four to King

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- Bentley University senior Alaura Berry (San Diego, Calif./Rancho Bernardo HS) matched her career-best with 16 kills, but it wasn't enough as the Falcons dropped a four-set match to King University (Tenn.) in the East Stroudsburg State Farm Volleyball Classic Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Lady Tornado improved to 15-2 on the season with the 25-17, 19-25, 25-22, 25-14 victory. Bentley, after two wins in the tournament on Friday, dipped back to .500 at 8-8.

Berry hit an impressive .464 en route to her 16 kills, and also provided Bentley with three blocks. Senior Andrea Farah (Miami, Fla./Palmer Trinity HS) registered 10 kills for the Falcons, and classmate Kelly Mee (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock North HS) had a strong setting day, with 42 assists.

Senior libero Maitlyn Kraft (New Braunfels, Texas/St. Mary's Hall) made 20 digs to lead the Falcons in that category.

Bentley will return to Northeast-10 action with a 7 pm match at Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday night.
