NE10 Weekly Release

WALTHAM, Mass. – Coming off a strong showing at the UC San Diego Invitational, Caitlin Burmester was named the Northeast 10 Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

Competing in a field largely comprised of Division I runners, she was second in the 1500 with a time of 4:39.38. That was less than a second behind the first-place runner and a career best time for her in the 1500.

Burmester also ran the 800 meter and finished 12^th with a time of 2:18.37.

This her first career NE10 weekly award for track.

The Falcons are next scheduled to compete on Friday at the Silfen Elite Distance Races and the Penmen Relays on Saturday.
