Women's indoor track & field ready for NE10 Championships this weekend

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley women's track & field team is ready for the Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships, Feb. 16-17, at the TRACK at New Balance. Friday's events begin at 2 p.m., and Saturday's events begin at 12 p.m.

The Falcons have competed at New Balance three time this season. Bentley's first visit of the season to New Balance was Dec. 2 for the Suffolk Relays. One week later, Bentley returned for the Beacon Invitational (Dec. 10). More recently, the Falcons competed in the River Haw Invitational at New Balance (Jan. 27).

Caitlin Burmester enters the weekend with the conference's second-best time in the 3,000-m, finishing the race in 10:23.68 during the Suffolk Relays (Dec. 2).  

Burmester also holds the season's third-best time in the mile, posting a time of 5:06.80 during the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic (Feb. 9). Furthermore, she has the NE10's fourth-best time in the 800-m, crossing the finish line in 2:19.01 in the same BU meet.

Molly Capece currently ranks among the top 10 (ninth) in the 3,000-m, achieving a time of 10:45.83 during the Suffolk Relays (Dec. 2). Brooke Neri is ninth in the conference for the 5,000-m. Her best time this season in 19:58.98 from the Suffolk Relays (Dec. 2).
