Davies Breaks Own School Record During Stonehill Invitational

EASTON, Mass. – Bentley University senior Chase Davies (Marblehead/Marblehead HS) broke the school record in the 100 meter hurdles for the third time this spring Saturday during the Stonehill Invitational.

Davies finished in 14.64 seconds, bettering the mark she set earlier this month at the Southern New Hampshire Penmen Relays by 0.17 seconds. She finished second among 16 competitors, trailing only Rhode Island's Trinity Smith (13.94), with her time the fourth best by a Northeast-10 Conference student-athlete this season.

Sophomore Lucy Ambroult (Holbrook/Holbrook HS) was second of 12 in the 100 meters and fourth of 18 in the long jump (17'3.25"). Her time of 12.50 in the 100 was better than her own school record but wasn't recognized due to being wind-aided.

Senior Megan Niedzwiecki (Old Orchard Beach, Maine/Old Orchard Beach HS) moved to tenth on Bentley's all-time list in the shot put with a throw of 31 feet, 10.75 inches. That better her personal best by four inches.

Bentley will be back at Stonehill next weekend for the Northeast-10 Conference championships.
