Boston Globe West Features Former Falcon Kristen (Godfrey) Brown

In its "Catching up with" series, the Boston Globe West recently featured former Bentley sprinter Kristen (Godfrey) Brown. Brown, now married to former Bentley football captain Bryan Brown, still holds a couple school records. This article appeared in Globe West on May 7.

Kristen Brown (nee Godfrey), the holder of three individual women's track records at Bentley University and a member of two record-setting relay teams, also had the distinction of playing on the Falcons' NCAA Division 2 championship field hockey team in 2001.

"Still having those records is an honor, a recognition of the many hours that you put in as a college athlete,'' said Brown, who established Falcons standards in the outdoor 100- and 200-meter dashes, and with the 4x100 and sprint medley relay teams. She also set the 55-meter dash mark indoors.

In 2013, she married Bryan Brown, a captain on Bentley's 2001 football team. The couple reside in Holliston and have a 7-month-old son, Camden.

After graduating from Bentley in 2004 with a management degree, Brown worked for three companies in sales and marketing.
