Bentley Places 3 on Academic All-Northeast-10 Indoor Track Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS), senior Christian Connolly (Kingston/Silver Lake Reg. HS) and senior Tara Dooley (Lee/Lee HS) are Bentley University's representatives on the 2014-15 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference indoor track team.

Dooley received Academic All-Conference honors for the third time with her previous two coming in cross country (2012, 2013) and Haas was previously chosen for the 2014 Academic All-Conference cross country team. Connolly is a first-time honoree.

Connolly, a finance major with a GPA just a shade under 3.7, placed sixth in the 800 meters at the conference's indoor championships, posting a time of 1:58.10. He also helped the Falcons take fifth in the distance medley relay at that meet and was part of Bentley's DMR team that placed 16th at the New England Championships.

Haas, who also majors in finance, was tenth in the 1000 meters at the NE-10's (2:33.77) and was also a part of the DMR with Connolly. During the New Englands, he ran the mile in 4:17.29, the fourth best clocking in program history. In the classroom, he's earned an impressive 3.85 GPA and has made the President's List each of his first three semesters.

Dooley, a 2014 Capital One Academic All-America who owns a 3.83 GPA in accountancy, set a school record of 17:15.61 in the 5000 at the New Englands. That performance earned her All-New England honors and a fifth-place finish. In addition to being the school standard-bearer in the 5,000, Dooley ranks sixth in program history in the 3,000 (10:12.97) and eighth in the mile (5:14.80).
