Farrington Bentley’s Top Finisher during Tufts Cupid Challenge

MEDFORD, Mass. – Senior Brynnan Farrington (Shirley/Ayer HS) had the highest finish for a member of the Bentley University women's track and field team during Saturday's Tufts Cupid Challenge at the Ganther Center. In a field of 47, Farrington finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 37 feet, 5.75 inches.

In the 800 meters, senior Alix Pettinella (Wingdale, N.Y./Arlington HS) was 12th of 42 with a 2:30.45, and freshman Marianne Bartolotta (Wantagh, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS) followed in 18th with a 2:33.50.

Freshman Courtney Wilson (Morrisonville, N.Y./Beekmantown Central HS) finished 14th in both the long jump and the triple jump. She set a new personal best by clearing 15 feet, 3.5 inches in the former and went 32 feet, 2.25 inches in the triple.

In a 53-runner field in the 3,000 meters, sophomore Katie Burke (Braintree/Braintree HS) ran an 11:16.48 for 16th place and junior Samantha Albanese (Lynnfield/Lynnfield HS) was 19th with a 2:33.50.

Another top 20 finish was posted by junior Dusty Sacco (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes HS), who was 16th in the 600 meters.

In the team standings, Bentley was 16th of 17.

The next action for the Falcons is the David Hemery Valentine's Invitational at Boston University Friday night.
