Brockton Enterprise: "Bridgewater's Caitlin Fahey bound for NCAA Div. 2 track championship race"
Brockton Enterprise sports writer Jim Fenton recently caught up wuth Bentley track standout Caitlin Fahey, who'll be finishing her career and an outstanding senior year later this week out in Colorado at the NCAA Division II Championships.
Caitlin Fahey of Bridgewater placed second in both the 1,000-meter race during the winter season and the 800-meter race in the spring at the Northeast-10 Conference championship meets.
That early success, however, was followed by a pair of ailments during her sophomore and junior years that slowed the progress of the 2009 Coyle-Cassidy High School graduate.
First, Fahey had Lyme disease in the middle of her sophomore cross country season in the fall of 2010.
Then, late in the indoor season of her junior year in 2011, Fahey was diagnosed with anemia, putting another hurdle in her way.
