Pandolph Paces Bentley Women at Bernard Solomon “Husky” Invitational

DEDHAM, Mass. -- Freshman Brittany Pandolph (Tewksbury/Tewksbury HS) had a pair of top four finishes while competing for the Bentley University women's outdoor track team Saturday at the Bernard Solomon "Husky" Invitational. The meet was hosted by Northeastern University at its Solomon Track.

Pandolph threw the javelin 116 feet, six inches to finish second of 17, and was fourth of 18 in the shot with a distance of 37 feet, 2.5 inches.

Junior Keisha Johnson (Randolph/Randolph HS) was fifth of eight in the triple jump, with her distance of 34 feet, 11.25 inches a season-best. She also cleared 14 feet, 8.5 inches in the long jump, placing 11th out of 21 competitors.

In the discus, freshman Aubrey Batzinger (Wallingford, Conn./Lyman Hall) was sixth of 14 with a throw of 105 feet, four inches.

Johnson was also part of Bentley's 4x100 relay team, which posted a season-best time of 53.61 to place fourth of eight. Joining with her were sophomore Andrea Crowley (Bourne/Bourne HS) and freshmen Diana Thompson (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull HS) and Kristen Reichlen (Boxborough/Acton-Boxboro Reg. HS).

A portion of the Bentley team will compete in the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton on Friday and the rest will be at the Tufts Invitational on Saturday.
