WALTHAM, Mass. – Juniors Remi LeSage (Sarasota, Fla./IMG) and Libby Keefe (Lowell, Mass./Lowell Catholic) won in doubles but the Bentley women's tennis team dropped a 5-1 decision to Saint Anselm on Wednesday afternoon.

LeSage and Keefe defeated Saint Anslem's Anastasia Kapothanasis and Matilda Briegel in the No. 2 doubles match, by a score of 6-4.

The other doubles matches went the Hawks' way though for them to claim the doubles point. It was Makena Romganano (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) and Anna Lang (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) in No. 1 for Bentley going against Irena Garbo and Olivia Parzick of Saint Anselm.

In No. 3, Bentley's team was Anna Higgins (Andover, Mass./Andover) and Rachel Holden (Pomfret, Conn./Woodstock) going against Abigail Svor and Heredia Osante.

The No. 4 singles match saw a great battle between Falcons freshman Chloe Arsenault (Rye, N.H./Portsmouth) and Saint Anselm's Matilda Briegel.

Briegel won the first set 6-4 but Arsenault fought back and claimed the second set 6-4. That brought the match to a deciding third set, which Briegel narrowly won 11-9.

The Hawks improved to 2-1 in the Northeast-10 with the win, while the Falcons dropped to 0-3 NE10.

The team's next match is on Thursday afternoon at home against American Int'l.
