Waltham, Mass. – Bentley senior Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) was named the NE10 Women's Tennis Player of the Week and Alessa Matuty (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) the Rookie of the Week, for the week ending April 21.

The pair helped Bentley to wins over Endicott, 5-2 on April 17, and Curry, 7-0 on the 19^th, in the team's final two matches of the season.

Fabianski, Bentley's team captain this season, won in both No. 1 singles and doubles in the victory over Curry. She won the singles match 6-1, 6-0, and in doubles she and Katie Tynan were 6-0 winners. In the Falcons' victory over Endicott two days earlier, she and Tynan were 6-1 winners in the No. 1 doubles match.

For the spring season, Fabianski went 5-2 in singles. She finished the season tied for the team lead in overall singles wins.

Matuty is the Rookie of the Week for the second time in three weeks after she went a combined 4-0 in the two matches. Both singles wins were at No. 2, 7-6, 7-5 against Endicott and 6-0, 6-0 against Curry. She also went 2-0 at No. 2 doubles with partner Evann Welty.

Matuty finished the spring with a 6-1 singles record and a 6-1 doubles record.

As a team, the Falcons went 3-4 in the spring season.
