WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University freshman Evann Welty (Wayzata, Minn./Mound Westonka) earned Women's Tennis All-NE10 Third Team honors in No. 3 singles for her play during the regular season, the conference announced Wednesday. She was also named chosen to the NE10 All-Rookie team.

Welty shined in her rookie season for the Falcons. In NE10 matches, for which the All-Conference teams are selected, she went 4-1 from the No. 3 singles position to garner the honor. She added two other wins from the No. 4 spot for an overall singles record of 6-2 in NE10 play.

Welty also added three singles non-conference victories for an overall record of 9-2 in the fall.

Along with senior Rachel Hui (Hong Kong), they were Bentley's primary No. 1 doubles team during the NE10 season. They posted a 4-4 record, and including non-conference matches, won their first six doubles matches in a row.

Bentley finished the fall season with an overall record of 10-5 and 7-5 in the NE10 to finish in a tie for 6^th place.
