Bentley Sweeps Saint Rose, Wins 3rd Straight in Northeast-10

ALBANY, N.Y. – Bentley won for the third straight time in Northeast-10 play on Saturday, sweeping aside Saint Rose 9-0 to begin its weekend trip through upstate New York. Three different players won in both singles and doubles.

Bentley's No. 1 doubles team on the day of Ludmila Yamus (Deer Park, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) and Rachel Petrini (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) set the tone with an 8-2 victory. In the No. 3 match, Olivia von Oldenburg (Austin, Texas/Vandegrift) and Lexie Hinrichs (Franklin, Mass./Ursuline Academy) dropped just one game in an 8-1 victory.

In singles, Yamus claimed a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the No. 1 match for her second win of the day. Catherine Gianino (Burlington, Mass./Burlington) and Brittani Hetyei (Vernon, N.J./Vernon) also claimed their second wins of the day after teaming to take the No. 2 doubles match, 8-2. Gianino took the No. 2 singles match, 6-0, 6-2, and Hetyei took the No. 3 match 6-3, 6-0. Hetyei is now a perfect 6-0 in NE-10 singles matches this season.

In the No. 4-No. 6 singles matches, Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington), Alexia Petruzziello (North Haven, Conn./North Haven) and Jill Kamphaus (Walpole, Mass./Ursuline Academy) were all victorious.

Bentley (6-3, 6-2 NE-10) next heads to Syracuse to face Le Moyne on Sunday.
