Bentley Makes it Three Straight, 7-2 over Saint Michael’s
COLCHESTER, Vt. – Bentley made it three straight wins by defeating Saint Michael's 7-2 on the road Wednesday afternoon in a Northeast-10 match.
The Falcons won two of the three doubles matches to first take a 2-1 lead into singles play. Catherine Gianino (Burlington, Mass./Burlington) and Brittani Hetyei (Vernon, N.J./Vernon) led the charge with a 9-7 victory in the No. 2 match.
In singles, Gianino and Hetyei both picked up their second wins of the day. Gianino defeated Nicole Kellogg 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 2 match, and Hetyei knocked off Alexandra Sulkin 7-5, 6-0 in the No. 3 match. Freshman Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) also claimed her second win of the match in singles, beating Colleen O'Keefe 6-1, 6-1.
Bentley (3-1, 3-1 NE-10) will go for its fourth straight win on Saturday when they host Adelphi
