Women’s Tennis Falls to Babson 6-1 in Spring Opener
MEDFIELD, Mass. – The Bentley University women's tennis team kicked off its spring season against Babson on Friday at the indoor Kingsbury Club in Medfield, but dropped a 6-1 decision to the Beavers.
A pair of freshman combined to give Bentley its point. Brittani Hetyei (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) and Melisa Kocarslan (Palos Verdes, Calif./Palos Verdes) won in third-flight doubles, besting the team of Minte Tamoshunas and Victoria Lorido by a score of 8-1.
It's the first loss of the season for the Falcons, who went 5-0 in the fall. Babson improves to 8-4.
Bentley is back on the courts on March 10 when they face Eckerd to begin its spring break trip.
