Bentley tops Babson, 201-87, on Senior Day

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley women's swimming & diving team celebrated its two seniors in a big way with a 201-87 win over Babson Sunday afternoon.

Results

Before the start of the meet, the Falcons celebrated their two seniors: Emily Blatt and Emma Hapkiewicz.

Hapkiewicz won the 500-freestyle by timing in at 5:16.34, and she was on the first-place 200-freestyle relay team that finished in 1:43.06. Jordan Nuzback, Cleo Zhou, and Isabella Montanari were also on that relay team.

Blatt won the 200-breaststroke by touching the wall in 2:31.86, and she placed second in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:10.67. Montanari just barely edged out her teammate in the latter event, posting a time of 1:10.41.

Caroline Ubert won two individual events: the 200-butterfly (2:14.36), and the 100-butterfly (100:.60).

Grace Motisi's time in the 1,000-freestyle was 11:27.39, good for first place. Madison Capria won the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:56.93, while Skyla Lang placed second with a time 1:57.94. Lang won the 200-IM by touching the wall in 2:11.67

Nuzback and Montanari finished one-two in the 100-freestyle. Nuzback's time was 55.34 seconds, and Montanari was less than a second behind at 56.19 seconds. Brydie Olofson was first in the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:02.86.

Hilla Almog won both diving events. Her 1-meter score was 245.85, and her 3-meter score was 256.35.

The Falcons began the meet by winning the 200-medley relay. Olofson, Blatt, Ubert, and Lang combined for a time of 1:53.89.

Bentley's final home meet of the season is Thursday, Jan. 25, against Bridgewater State.
