Quartet of Double-Winners Help Bentley Women Defeat Brandeis, 181-113

WALTHAM, Mass. – One member of each class won two individual events, leading the Bentley University women's swimming team to a 181-113 win over Brandeis University Friday night at the Dana Center pool.

They were senior Dariana Gonzales (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS), junior Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS), sophomore Hilla Almog (Wayland/Wayland HS) and freshman Morgan Kingsley (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia HS).

Gonzales was the first to the wall in the 200 yard freestyle (1:57.01) and the 200 backstroke (2:11.87) while Hapkiewicz earned first-place finishes in the two distance races. She swam the 1000 free in 10:57.09 and the 500 free in 5:20.26.

Kingsley swept the breaststroke events with times of 1:10.52 in the 100 and 2:31.20 in the 200. Almog edged teammate Mary Huminski (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) in diving, putting up a combined score of 455.05 in the two one-meter competitions.

Bentley's other winners were freshman Taylor White (Warwick, Bermuda/Warwick Academy) in the 100 backstroke (1:00.66) and sophomore Jordan Nuzback (Fairview, Pa./McDowell HS) in the 200 individual medley (2:17.63).

The Falcons, 4-1 with a four-meet winning streak, will be back at home next Saturday for a 1 pm meet against Keene State.
