GREENSBORO, N.C. – Bentley University sophomore Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn./ South Windsor HS) missed All-America honors by a slim margin Saturday while placing 17^th in the 1650 yard freestyle during the final day of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Athletic Center.

Hapkiewicz reached the wall in 17:16.48, trailing Lindenwood's Jana Hellemschmidt, whose 16^th place finish in 17:16.41 was good for second-team All-America recognition.

Hapkiewicz, who was seeded 22^nd in the event, previously set a school record in the 1000 and also swam the 500 during her inaugural trip to the nationals.
