GREENSBORO, N.C. – Two days after breaking her own school record in the 1,000 yard freestyle, Bentley University sophomore Emma Hapkiewicz (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) competed in the 500 free Friday during day three of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Athletic Center.

Hapkiewicz placed 35^th overall, an improvement of nine places over her seed time, with a clocking of 5:03.69.

Hapkiewicz will be back in the pool Saturday, swimming the grueling 1650 free.
