Bentley Takes 12 Events En Route to 163-120 Win over Saint Rose

TROY, N.Y. – Sophomore Kate Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) was a triple-winner and both senior Kaitlyn McGahie (Boylston, Mass./Tahanto Reg. HS) and sophomore Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) swam to a pair of individual firsts as Bentley University posted a 163-120 win over The College of Saint Rose in women's swimming action Sunday afternoon at RPI.

Kaduboski and McGahie combined with junior Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) and freshman Lea Guldemond (West Newbury, Mass./Central Catholic HS) for a 1:54.64 in the meet-opening 200 yard medley relay for the first of 12 Bentley wins in the meet.

Kaduboski posted the best times of the season by a Northeast-10 Conference swimmer in both the 100 back (1:00.67) and the 200 individual medley (2:14.46), and was also first in the 200 back (2:10.66). McGahie was the first to the wall in the two shortest freestyle events as she swam the 50 in 25.52 and the 100 in 55.74.

Viator recorded wins in the meet's longest event, the 1000 free (11:08.47) as well as the 100 butterfly (1:02.41).

Freshman Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) doubled in the diving with winning scores of 2:06.85 off the one-meter board and 176.10 from the three-meter.

Rounding out the list of Bentley first-place finishers were junior Anne Warren (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS) in the 200 butterfly (2:19.21) and sophomore Brooke Jameson (Bedford, Mass./Bedford HS) in the 500 free (5:29.82).

Bentley, off to a 2-1 start, will compete at Roger Williams on Friday (5 pm).
