Stone Named Northeast-10 Women’s Diver of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior Courtney Stone (Andover/Andover HS) has been named the Women's Diver of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference for the second straight week.

In a 191-91 win over Brandeis University Friday night, Stone swept the diving with winning scores of 240.91 from the one-meter board and 240.22 from the three-meter.

Four of Stone's teammates were also recognized with seniors Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./ Tolland HS) and Nick Toselli (Barrington, R.I./Barrington HS), junior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) and sophomore Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) all chosen for the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll.

Bridge captured both men's diving events, posting a 299.17 in the one-meter and a 268.49 in the three-meter.

Toselli led a 1-2-3 Bentley finish in the 50 freestyle and was also part of the Falcons' winning 200 free relay (1:31.36). In addition, he helped a Falcon 400 medley relay finish in 3:50.29, good for third place.

Niemiec was a triple winner, reaching the wall first in the 200 freestyle (2:01.24), the 200 breaststroke (2:32.55) and the 400 individual medley (4:45.30). Her time in the latter was the second best posted in the Northeast-10 so far this season.

McGahie turned in winning performances in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.17) and 500 freestyle (5:26.63), and was also anchored the Falcons' winning 200 free relay team (1:44.82).

Bentley's next action is at the WPI Gompei Invitational Dec. 5-6.
