Bridge & Stone Collect NE-10 Diver of the Week Awards; Men’s Relay Team Also Honored

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University seniors Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) and Courtney Stone (Andover/Andover HS) have been named the Diving Athletes of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference. Bridge was saluted for the second straight week, and 14th time in his career, and the honor is a career first for Stone.

Bridge swept the diving events in a 131-100 loss to Saint Rose, recording scores of 288.05 from the one-meter and 264.00 from the three-meter. His career resume includes five Northeast-10 medals and two trips to the NCAA Division II pre-qual meet.

In a 147-94 win over Saint Rose, Stone finished first in the three-meter diving (244.15) after finishing second in the one-meter (239.45). She has had a pair of top-three finishes at the conference championships and competed in the NCAA pre-qual meet in 2013.

Bentley's 400 yard freestyle relay team was recognized as the NE-10 Men's Relay Team of the Week. Against Saint Rose, sophomore Christopher Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) combined with junior Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/Lubbock HS) and a pair of seniors, Nick Toselli (Barrington, R.I./Barrington HS) and Sebastian Bury (Bellevue, Wash./Newport Senior HS), to post the fastest time of the season in the event in the Northeast-10, 3:17.48.

Also recognized, with selection to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll, was junior Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS). She led Bentley past Saint Rose by placing first in both the 100 free (55.31) and 200 free (2:02.54) while also anchoring the Falcons' winning 400 free relay team (3:47.06).

Bentley's next meet is Friday night at home against Brandeis University.
