Bentley Places 3 on Academic All-Northeast-10 Swim Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Three members of the Bentley University swimming and diving teams were recently named to the Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference team. They are senior Paige Wilde (Naugatuck, Conn./Holy Cross HS) and sophomores Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston/Tahanto Reg. HS) and Liam Bartlett (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham HS).

Wilde was the Northeast-10 Women's Diving Athlete of the Year after earning gold in both the one meter and three meter at the conference championships in February. In March, she was the only NE-10 woman to compete in the NCAA Division II pre-qualifying meet in Indianapolis. It was the third time in her career she earned the right to compete in the meet. During this past season, she exceeded 410 points for 11 dives at both heights.

A corporate finance and accounting major with a GPA about 3.4, Wilde spent the fall 2013 semester studying abroad in Australia and has since served as a Study Abroad Peer Advisor.

McGahie earned four bronze medals at the conference championships, including the 100 yard breaststroke, and is Bentley's school record holder in both the 50 freestyle (24.48) and the 100 individual medley (1:01.15). In addition, she ranks second in school history in the 100 free (53.43) and fifth in both the 50 and 100 breast.

Bartlett owns a share of the school record in the 200 free relay (1:24.58), an event in which he helped Bentley claim a silver medal in. He also helped the Falcons to silver in the 400 free relay and his top individual finish at the NE-10's was an eighth in the 100 free.

McGahie and Bartlett have each distinguished themselves in the classroom since their arrival on campus with GPAs of 3.75 and 3.81, respectively. Both are majoring in both managerial economics-management and liberal studies, and have combined for five appearances on the President's List.
