Kaduboski Earns All-America Honors for 2nd Time in 2 Days

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Bentley University senior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham, Mass./Dedham HS) closed out her stellar career Saturday night by earning All-America honors for the second time in as many days.

Competing in the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the Palo Alto Natatorium, Kaduboski finished eighth in the 200 yard backstroke with a school record 2:01.79. That broke the standard of 2:01.89 she set earlier Saturday while finishing seventh in the trials of the 200 back, and marked the eighth school record that she set during her three days of swimming at the nationals. The record entering the week was 2:03.40, which Kaduboski set last month at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships.

On Friday, Kaduboski earned her first All-America award, with a fifth place finish in the 200 butterfly.

Sophomore Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) and senior Emily Travers (Brentwood, N.H./Exeter HS) also competed for Bentley on Saturday. Hodsdon was 18th of 28 in the 200 breaststroke, with her time of 2:23.59 improving on the school record set by teammate Erin Campbell last month by 1.98 seconds.

Travers was 21st in the three-meter diving, with a score of 299.60.

As a team, Bentley finished 21st in the country with 45 points. The only East Region team to fare better was Southern Connecticut State, which was 15th with 96 points.
