Ewen Named New England Soccer Journal’s D2 Women’s Player of the Year

Waltham, Mass. – Claire Ewen was named the New England Soccer Journal's Division II Women's Player of the Year.

The end of the year awards from the publication encompass all Division II schools in the New England area.

Since the end of the 2023 season, Ewen has also been named the Northeast 10 Goalkeeper of the Year, first team All-Northeast 10, first team All-East Region by the Conference Commissioners Association and Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators.

The Arlington, Massachusetts native had a stellar junior season in goal for the Falcons.  She posted five shutouts, an .856 save percentage and a 0.97 goals against average. Her save percentage ranked second in the NE10 and her GAA ranked fourth.

Nationally, Ewen's save percentage ranked 17th in Division II.

She was twice named the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week during the season and helped the Falcons qualify for the NE10 playoffs in the first season for head coach Sarah Dacey.
