Women’s Soccer Returns Home Wednesday vs. AIC

WALTHAM, Mass. – After three straight matches on the road the Bentley women's soccer team will be back at home on Wednesday afternoon to take on American International. The Falcons will then visit Saint Rose on Saturday.

Welcome home

It will have been 20 days since Bentley's last home game when they take the field against AIC on Wednesday. The last home match was on Sept. 6 against Assumption in a 0-0 draw.

In the meantime they went 1-1-1 with a 2-1 defeat to Saint Anselm, a 0-0 draw against Assumption and a 2-0 win over New Haven.

Ewen named Goalie of the Week

Claire Ewen was named the NE10 Goalie of the Week on Monday for the second time in her career. She made seven saves in the 0-0 draw at Assumption on Sept. 19, and stopped a penalty kick in the second half to keep the match scoreless. On Saturday she made three saves to help the Falcons to a 2-0 victory at New Haven.

Ewen ranks second in the NE10 in several statistical categories. Her save percentage (.903), total saves (28) and goals against average (0.55) all rank second so far this season.

Hendriksen to the Honor Roll

Center back Jillian Hendriksen was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll after she scored against the Chargers. It was the second career goal for the junior center back who was named second team All-Conference last season.

She is tied for the team lead in minutes played at 360.
