WALTHAM, Mass. – Coming off a 1-0-1 opening weekend on Long Island, the Bentley University women's soccer team will play its home opener on Wednesday against Assumption at 3:30 PM in a non-conference match.

The Falcons tied Molloy 1-1 in their first game last Thursday, with the goal coming from Ryenne Feeney just after halftime. Goalkeeper Claire Ewen made four saves.
On Saturday they blanked Wilmington (Del.) 1-0 for the first win for new head coach Sarah Dacey. A 67th minute goal by Bridget Gleason was the difference, while goalkeepers Ewen and Holly DiPalo combined for a clean sheet.
This will be the 33rd all-time meeting between Bentley and Assumption, with the Greyhounds holding a 20-10-2 edge. Last season's match in Waltham was a 3-1 win for Assumption.
This will be the first of two meetings this season. The NE10 encounter will take place on September 19 in Worcester.
