WORCESTER, Mass. – Bentley University and Assumption battled to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday night in Northeast-10 action.

The Falcons' record moved to 3-1-1 in conference play for 10 points. That has them level with Saint Rose and Saint Anselm in the standings for second place at the end of the evening.

Their record moved to 3-2-3 overall.

The teams combined for 24 shots on goal but the goalkeepers for both teams were on top of their games. Bentley's Kat Hassapis (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) and Claire Ewen (Arlington, Mass./Arlington) combined for 13 saves. Assumption's Julia Walsh made 11 stops.

Freshman Sydney O'Connor (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) led the Falcons with four shots on goal. That was tied for the game high with Assumption's Anne Irwin.

The two overtime periods were evenly contested. Bentley had two shots on goal and Assumption had three in the extra 20 minutes.

Following tonight's draw, Bentley will next be in action on Saturday when they host Franklin Pierce at 1:00 PM. That will be the first of two straight home matches.
